McCauley Marketing’s Top 5 Super Bowl Commercials from Years Past
While many people partake in the annual Super Bowl celebration to cheer on their favorite team (or make sure their nemesis doesn’t win), there’s no denying that the commercials are just as important as the ball game. This year the average 30-second television advertisement is estimated to cost companies about $3.5 million. Even for international organizations, that’s a pretty penny, but with good reason. Last year’s Super Bowl marked the second year in a row that the big game was the most watched program ever with an estimated 111 million viewers.
That’s a lot of pressure for advertisers to quickly connect with and make an impression on such a large number of viewers. A lot of advertisers take advantage of themes (like the Budweiser Clydesdales) or try risky stunts (like the GoDaddy girls), but the key to a successful Super Bowl commercial is connecting with the audience’s already hyped-up emotions and making them take the next step in buying your product or service.
We love to watch the “Best of” and “Worst of” lists each year, and we’ve decided to make a little list of our own favorite commercials from years past. What are your favorite Super Bowl commercials?
