Summer Marketing Tip Recap
September marks the end of summer, but for businesses, it’s only the beginning of a warp-speed holiday quarter. If you haven’t already, make sure to sign up for the McCauley Services’ newsletter for access to the latest marketing tips and media news. To help get everyone in gear for the busy business days ahead, we’ve compiled a list of this summer’s most useful marketing tips:
- Location, location, location: Be as specific as possible when writing your auto-replies and recording your voicemail when you’re on vacation this season. Let clients know when you will have access to your messages and when exactly they can expect a response from you. Clients appreciate your transparency as well as an alternate contact in case of an urgent project change.
- Blogging is a team sport: It’s a good idea to have one person in charge of creating the blog and writing content, but everyone can be involved to bounce ideas off one another. Having everyone work as a team to contribute ideas and content can have a positive effect on your business.
- Stick to your schedule: We all know things can get harried with holidays in and out of the office, but it’s important for your business to remain committed to their social media marketing strategy. Haven’t made a strategy? Don’t freak out (too much); first identify who should be creating posts and what should be posted on your company’s behalf. Establishing some ground rules will save confusion and disappointment with lack of social media ROI in the future.
- Prepare now: If event planning is part of this quarter’s marketing strategy, make sure to plan well in advance to accommodate busy holiday schedules. As soon as you know the details, share them on social media so you’re casting the net for potential attendees as wide as possible.
